JUDY BAILEY OAM Pianist/Composer/Arranger/Educator
Since arriving from New Zealand, she has become one of Australia`s leading musical identities.
In addition to a prolific career involving performance, recording, touring, teaching, etc., Judy has received numerous awards, including the inaugural APRA award for Jazz Composition, an Australian Entertainment award for Jazz Performance, the Order of Australia Medal for services to Jazz and Education, and more recently, the Award for Distinguished Services to Australian Music.
Judy continues to teach at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Launched in 2008 – Judy’s latest CD “Pendulum” Contains 5 standards and 2 Bailey originals: “Piano trio at it’s very best. Another fantastic album from a ‘Living Treasure’.”
Colours – reissued in 2007 from the original 1976 recording.
